More than 10 percent of Jefferson County's registered voters have already had their say on whether to allow table games at the Charles Town Races & Slots.
Assistant clerk for elections Wendy Evangelisti says 3,771 votes were cast by late Wednesday, with only an hour left until the courthouse polling place closed.
The county has about 33,000 registered voters in all.
The rest of them can vote Saturday on whether to approve blackjack, poker and other games for the track, owned by Pennsylvania-based Penn National Gaming Inc.
Jefferson voters rejected the games two years ago, while voters in Kanawha, Hancock and Ohio counties passed them.
