Oscar winner A.R. Rahman thanked Chief Minister Karunanidhi for congratulating him on his double Grammy awards on Sunday. Earlier, the CM of Tamil Nadu appreciated the musician for making the country proud and reportedly said, "Tamil Nadu feels proud on this grand occasion with her son getting the highest global awards." Rahman has expressed his gratitude for the support and appreciation. On Sunday, the Mozart of Madras brought honour to the country by bagging two Grammy awards, the highest honour in music industry for his songs in Slumdog Millioniare. 'Jai Ho' won the best song in a motion picture and the soundtrack of Slumdog was adjudged the best compilation soundtrack for a motion picture. Interestingly, the musical genius will now create a theme song for the World Classical Tamil Conference to be held in May. Karunanidhi has penned the lyrics for the theme song.
